Elijah Craig 12-year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey:

This is my regular bottle, and the best one around $20.  And nobody seems to know about it! I sniff large dollops of vanilla, oak, citrus peel, and cilantro; then a world of spices, rye, smoky caramel, pencil lead, hot mint, and a long, cozy finish.  Dangerously drinkable.

Kelt Cognac V.S.O.P - Tour Du Monde

Simply the best spirit we have on the shelf. Yes, it is more than you other V.S.O.P cognacs but is well worth the money, and then some. Kelt, as the name implies, goes around the world on a cargo ship for a period of three months. As the ships rolls along the ocean, there are temperature and pressure variations that impart very distinctive tastes that you get from no other spirit in the world. Kelt cognac is only filled to 70% in the barrel to insure that as the waves roll on the sea, so does the Kelt cognac. This is a must try for anyone that loves cognac, or spirits for that matter.

Quénard 2005 Chignin:

My new favorite obscure white wine!  Chignin is a Cru in Savoie, a very small wine-growing area in the East of France near Italy, between Lake Geneva and the Alps.  99% of their wine never leaves the area, consumed by tourists skiing or hiking in the mountains.  The local grape, Jacqučre, is used to make a brisk, lightly fruity, grassy, mineral, delicious dry white.  I love this wine!  (It has the added advantage of being less than $15...)

Broker's London Dry Gin:

This delicious gin is relatively new to the US market, and I like it as much or more than most of the standard top-shelf stuff that we are all used to.  It is very dry and very smooth, with the requisite juniper flavors leading the way, and has a nice, complex blend of other botanical and floral flavors.  It makes a fabulous tonic and is also good in a martini.  Plus, you know, it comes with a little hat...so, right there, it has that going for it.
